I’m a Food Network junkie! I admit it. I DVR all kinds of cooking shows and then at night, once the kids are in bed, I can watch them commercial-free. So one of the shows I love to watch is the Pioneer Woman. She has amazing food and I love her blog. KB just likes to say her husband’s name…Ladd. LOL.
Anyways, my big sister introduced me to her blog several years ago, when she would visit me in Washington and make her amazing cinnamon rolls. One day on the show, she was making “crazy brownies.” Which of course I had to try. Full of rolo cadies, M&Ms and peanut butter cups. Full of sugar. Full of fun! Full recipe found here: http://thepioneerwoman.com/cooking/2014/05/crazy-brownies/. Of course I omitted the pecans because usually if I am making something like this for KB and the tiny humans, less is actually more in the nut department.
Funny thing was, when I set out to make this recipe, I had to go to the store, since we don’t normally have candy on hand. And since I didn’t get around to making them immediately, I found myself going to the store for more candy at least 5 times. So of course after the 5th time, I was tired of replacing the candy and just decided to make them so I wouldn’t keep going to the store for candy. I am an enabler. Back to the brownies.
Start by putting the dry cake mix in a bowl.
Add evaporated milk and butter. Mix to combine.
Press half the mixture in the bottom of a greased 8 x 8 square pan.
Add your peanut butter cups and rolos.
Add the M&Ms in between the peanut butter cups and rolos. Sprinkle with salt.
Press the other half of the batter on the top.
Bake in a 350 degree oven for about 25 minutes.
Sprinkle with powdered sugar and enjoy!
